Starting in mid-2025, travelers from visa-exempt countries, including the U.S., will need an ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) approval to enter most European countries in the Schengen Zone. The UK is also introducing its own ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) requirement for visa-free visitors.
